CPN-UML has won the post of chief and deputy chief of Ramdhuni municipality of Sunsari district. According to the final results made public on Thursday, UML candidate Shankal Lal Chaudhary has been elected as the mayor with 13,372 votes. His nearest rival Sudip Adhikari of the Nepali Congress polled 11,405 votes.
Similarly, UML's Tara Thapa has been elected as the deputy chief of the municipality. He was elected with 12,220 votes. His nearest rival Asha Kumari Chaudhary of the Nepali Congress has lost with 10,493 votes.
