Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has said that his party has a clear vision for nation building and social transformation of the people.
At the 10th National Convention of the Intellectuals Council close to the party, he stressed on the need to bring change in the living standards of the people by increasing production through the use of science and technology.
Expressing the view that the intelligentsia has a big role to play in human resource development, Chairman Nepal, who is also a former prime minister, said that a large number of jobs would be created if the government increased investment in infrastructure development, tourism, hydropower and industry. He said that the party leaders and cadres should regulate the construction process from the ward and local level to raise the prestige of the nation.
The two-day convention will elect a new executive committee.
