CPN (UML) Senior Vice Chairman Ishwor Pokharel has expressed confidence that UML will move forward as a more powerful and energetic party. Inaugurating the eighth district convention of the UML district committee in Bhaktapur today, he said, "The UML will emerge as the largest and most powerful party in the country after the next three-tier election and will further the UML's campaign for development and prosperity."
Pokharel claimed that the UML was moving forward with the goal of transforming society by maintaining social harmony with self-respect and independence. UML politburo member and former minister Mahesh Basnet claimed that the development of Bhaktapur gained momentum when KP Sharma Oli led the government. UML central member and Bhaktapur in-charge Som Prasad Mishra stressed the need to work together to make UML the first force in Bhaktapur.
