Nepali Congress leader Pradip Poudel has said that it is positive that the younger generation has come to the leadership level of the party from the 14th general convention.
Speaking in a Program organized by Poudel, who is also a candidate for the post of General Secretary at the party's 14th General Convention, he said that the people have great confidence in the younger generation and added that it was positive for the youth to come under the party leadership.
"It is natural to lose the election. What I was looking for has happened within the party. The youth has reached the executive role of the party. I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the friends who have taken over the responsibility," he said.
Stating that many changes are needed within the party, Poudel expressed the view that Congress should move ahead in a systematic manner as per the rules and regulations. He said that the party should move forward by organizing everyone.
He said that there should be competition in the party policy and system and not on the basis of individuals. He said that there was a need for general unity within the party. Stating that the mature leadership has taken the youth forward, he also thanked the incumbent President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
