An unidentified group has detonated powerful bombs at limestone mine of Saurya Cement in Katari Municipality-8 in Udayapur district on Thursday night.
The unidentified group detonated four bombs, which left five laborers injured, according to Saurya Cement. The blast also completely destroyed an excavator and a motorcycle.
Those injured in the blast have been identified as Durga Bahadur Tamang, Shiva Sankhar Moktan, Nabin Magar, Bishnu Magar and Sagar Moktan. The injured are receiving treatment at the Katari Hospital, and their health condition is normal, said police.
According to the District Police Office, Udayapur, investigation into the case is already underway.
This is the second blast in Udayapur within the last 15 days. Almost two weeks ago, a powerful blast occurred at the office of Tapli Rural Municipality of the district. Likewise, another bomb was also discovered in the office.
