Women's cricket: APF's third consecutive win

Armed Police Force (APF) has emerged victorious in Lalitpur Mayor Women's T-20 Championship. APF defeated Lalitpur Mayors-11 for the third consecutive victory.

 APF defeated Lalitpur Meyers-11 by 7 wickets in a match played at the Tribhuvan Cricket Ground in Kiritipur today. Earlier, APF had defeated Province No. 1 in the first match and Far-Western Province by 6 wickets in the second match. Lalitpur mayors, who have lost three games in a row, are out of the competition. Earlier, Lalitpur had lost to Sudurpaschim by 58 runs in the first match and Lumbini Pradesh by 2 runs in the second match.

 In today's match, APF completed the victory target of 81 runs by losing 3 wickets in 13 overs. Jyoti Pandey played a half century innings for APF. She scored an unbeaten 56 off 45 balls. Similarly, Roma Thapa contributed unbeaten 11 runs. Anuradha Chaudhary of Lalitpur Meyers bagged one wicket.

 Lalitpur Meyers, who had earlier won the toss and elected to bat, lost five wickets in the allotted 20 overs to score 80 runs. Suman Khatiwada was the top scorer for Lalitpur Mayors with 30 runs. Aarti Bidari scored an unbeaten 21 runs. Karuna Bhandari and Suman Bista took one wicket each for APF.

 At present, another match is being played at the TRIBHUWAN Cricket Ground between Province No. 1 and Far-Western Province. State 1 is batting after winning the toss.
