Born in Lukla, Solukhumbu, Pasang aspired to be like late Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, the first Nepali woman climber. And after her parents named her Pasang Lhamu, everyone encouraged her to climb the mountain.
Pasang Lhamu Sherpa Akita has now successfully climbed eight of the world's 8,000-meter-high mountains. She is on a mission to climb Mountains above 8,000 meters all over the world.
Nepali female climber Pasanga has achieved success in a short period of time. She has successfully climbed four mountains in this spring alone. Her last climb was the world's ninth highest mountain Nanga Parbat which is 8126 meter high.
She has succeeded in climbing the mountain and became the first Nepali woman to climb the mountain in Pakistan on July 1.
Earlier, she had successfully climbed Kanchenjunga on May 6. Kanchenjunga is considered to be the third highest mountain. She had reached the summit on May 6 at 4:28 pm after a 19-hour direct ascent from Camp 4.
She also climbed the world's fifth highest mountain, Makalu, on May 28.
Pasang had already climbed the four highest peaks of the earth, Mount Everest, K2, Lhotse, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.
She works as a mountain guide in Nepal as well as in the United States.
