HIMBU a book by Lahkpa Sonam Sherpa Launched

A book titled "Himbu" written by senior tourism entrepreneur and mountaineer Lhakpa Sonam Sherpa is released today. Mr. Sherpa known for his mountaineering intrepidity and tourism business prowess unleashed his literary experts through his biopic book titled "Himbu".

"Himbu" translates to "Son of Mountains" is now public for the people to get insights of Mr. Sherpa. The book is released by Mr. Kanchha Sherpa, (Team member of Edmund Hillary Expedition 1953) along with Gyalgen Sherpa, President of Sherpa Society, Hon. Sonam Gyalzen Sherpa, Yogendra Shakya (MD of Ace Hotel Groups), Dr. Arjun Karki (former Ambassador for USA), Mingma Sherpa (1st Summiteer of 14 - 8000 m of South Asia) and Ms. Dawa Yangzum Sherpa (1st Female International Mountain Guide of Asia). 

The book is published by SAS TRUST. In the event, Mr. Yubraj Nayaghare (Editor of the book), Mr. Mahesh Paudel (Book Critic), Mr. Yogendra Shakya (Senior Tourism Enterpreneur), and Er. Sarosh Pradhan shared some of the facts, moments, and essence of the book and about the writer too. 

Eldest daughter of Mr. Sherpa and former Ambassador for Spain, Ms. Dawa Phuti Sherpa welcomed all the guests in the event through her welcome speech. 

After the launch of the book, Senior Journalist Mr. Dil Bhusan Pathak hosted the QnA session with the writer Mr. Lahkpa Sonam Sherpa. The audience were taken into the emotional ride of light laughter, deep emotions, and intriguing national sentiments during 1 hour long QnA session. 

On this auspicious occasion, Mr. Sherpa promised to donate Rs. 3,50,000 each to Ghunsa Foundation Taplejung, Tripura Sundari Mandir Dolpa, and Juving Village Kidook. 

With the publication of biopic, Mr. Sherpa has successfully established himself as a fine writer too.
