The Palpa-Butwal road section under Siddhartha Highway will be closed for 15 days from today. Chief of the Road Division Office, Palpa, Rameshwor Lamsal said that the road would be closed from today till January 28 due to the widening of the road at night.
The road is being closed while cutting the hill to make it wider. Chief Lamsal said that the road has been closed as soil and stones have to be placed on the road while widening the road. Roads will be widened from Siddhababa of Butwal to Jhumsa Bridge and from Kalimati to Gaudepul. Chief Lamsal said that the road would be closed every day from 9.30 pm to 4 am.
Chief Lamsal said that the passengers were requested to travel in during the daytime as it would be difficult for them to reach their destination by stopping at night. The Siddhartha Highway is the main road leading to Palpa, Gulmi, and Syangja.
