The commission has requested all local levels to not remove squatters or make them unsafe until the landowner certificate distribution is completed.

The Election Commission has directed the National Land Commission to immediately stop the distribution of land ownership certificates.

The applications have been received from the landless Dalits, the landless squatters, and the unsystematic settlers.
