Construction of a cultural museum building has started at Kathekhola rural municipality-4, Tangram, Kafalbot.
Chairperson of National Land Commission's District Committee Baglung, Dharma Bahadur Kunwar on Wednesday laid a foundation stone of the three-story building to be constructed on 1,182 square feet.
The cost estimated for construction of the museum building is Rs 20 million. The Village-Friendly Revolving Fund is constructing the cultural museum.
In the current fiscal year, the Gandaki Province government had provided a budget of Rs 5 million for the purpose, shared Revolving Fund Chair Hemraj Ashram. Earlier too, the provincial government provided budget support worth Rs 1 million in the beginning to nurture the idea, he informed.
The Fund has set an ambitious target to preserve folk bands representing all countries of the globe. So far, the Fund has collected 25 types of folk bands, including Nepali and western.
The collected folk bands will be systematically managed after the construction of the building.
