He emphasized the need to introduce agriculture and animal husbandry as well as endangered technologies, practices, and the protection and promotion of local crops to the new generation and transfer their knowledge and technology. Paudel said that the Kalimati Agricultural Market in the capital is not enough, so four or five more such markets are necessary. In that event, President Paudel awarded 6 farmers from Kavre and Sindhupalchok with the President's Best Farmer Award.
