Lumbini Province brings budget through ordinance

The government of Lumbini Province has announced the budget through an ordinance today.

The government of Lumbini Province, which had not been able to get the budget for next fiscal year endorsed through the provincial National Assembly till midnight on Thursday, has announced the budget through an ordinance today.

Spokesperson of the provincial government Baijanath Chaudhary, who is also the Minister of Economic Affairs and Planning of the province, informed that a meeting of the provincial Council of Ministers held this morning decided to introduce the budget through an ordinance.

Provincial Chief Dharma Nath Yadav, on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, issued the budget through an ordinance.

Meanwhile, Spokesperson Chaudhary informed that the budget which had been presented at the provincial National Assembly on June 15 had been announced today and there has been no changes made to it.

The government had presented a budget of more than Rs 40.95 billion for the next fiscal year. The budget has allocated Rs 14.93 billion for recurrent expenditure and over Rs 21.17 billion for capital expenditure. The budget of Lumbini Province for next fiscal year has prioritised the health, agriculture and tourism sectors.
