Machhapuchhre Bank has called a general meeting.
The bank has called a general meeting on November 9 to distribute dividend to the shareholders. Due to the risk of COVID-19, it will be done through video conference in the general assembly. The bank has stated that it will provide zoom ID and passcode to the shareholders participating in the meeting.
In the meeting a special proposal will be presented where they will discuss the distribution of 13.30 percent bonus share of the existing paid up capital of the bank and 0.70% cash dividend for its tax purposes.
The bank is going to pay dividend from the last financial year's earnings. The meeting will discuss the issues of empowering the board of directors to merge with appropriate banks and financial institutions, appointment of directors and so on.
The bank is going to close the book October 24 for the purpose of the general meeting. Accordingly, only the existing shareholders who have been traded on NEPSE till October 23 will be able to participate in the meeting and receive dividends.
