Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) has urged the government to extend the deadline for businesses to submit their tax details and pay necessary taxes.
The private sector body has stated that due to the prohibitory order that has been imposed in the country to stop the spread of the coronavirus, many businesses and offices have been shut at the moment. Various industries too have been closed down and employees have not been able to go to their offices, it mentioned.
NCC has stated that it is not possible to submit tax details and pay the taxes through the online system too because the related documents are in the respective offices of the businesses and since movement has been curtailed there is no way concerned employees can access them.
