Five smugglers arrested from Tribhuvan Intl Airport

Five Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested for smuggling 311 grams of gold-like yellow metal, chain roll, ring, and bangles from Tribhuvan International Airport.

Among the arrested are 30-year-old Tauhidul Tanvir, MD Yunus Ali, 50-year-old Sovan Talukdar, 25-year-old Jahidul Islam, and 37-year-old MD Mirazul Islam. Among the arrested, 216 grams of yellow metal were recovered from Tauhidul, 233 grams from Yunus, 100 grams from Sovan, 332 grams from Jahildul, and 430 grams from Mirajul.

They were on their way to Bangladesh from Dubai via Kathmandu when the metal was found in his handbag at Tribhuvan International Airport. They have been sent to the Tribhuvan Airport Customs Office today for necessary investigation and further actions, according to the International Airport Security Office.
