Police arrest two for producing substandard health sanitiser in Lalitpur

Police in Lalitpur district on Saturday afternoon arrested two men for producing and selling hand sanitisers against standards from Gwarko.

The arrested have been identified as Amit Tamrakar (44), resident of Biratnagar Sub-Metropolitan City-14, and Niresh Thapa (43), resident of Mahalaxmisthan in Lalitpur Metropolitan City-5. They are owners of 'Om Nirmaya Healthcare Pvt Ltd'.

They were producing and selling Kamsal Sanjivani Liquid Instant Hand Sanitiser. Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Lalitpur-based Metropolitan Police Sector (MPS) nabbed them. They also seized the santisers from their possession.

They have been charged with Black Marketing and Social Crimes and Punishments Act (2032) and further investigation into the matter is underway, informed MPS, Lalitpur.
