Two youths held with 2.88kg hashish in Kathmandu

Police arrested two persons in possession of 2.88 kilograms of hashish in Khichapokhari and Teku areas of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, on Thursday afternoon.

The arrested have been identified as Arjun Limbu (25) of Namobuddha Municipality-4 in Kavrepalanchok, who had currently been residing in Balkhu, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14, and Ram Tamang (30) of Thaha Municipality-11 in Makawanpur district.

Acting on a tip-off that drug dealing was taking place in Khichapokhari, KMC-22 area, security personnel deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle Janasewa arrested Limbu along with 280 grams of hashish. During the investigation, police found that Limbu had bought the illegal drug from Tamang. Subsequently, police arrested Tamang along with 2.68kg hashish from Teku in KMC-12.

Meanwhile, investigation into the case is underway, police informed.
