With this, all the bodies have been recovered.

It has been reported that Suku of Nimail in Aathbis Municipality-3 in Dailekh district, along with her son and daughters headed for her parent's home following a quarrel with her husband, on March 8. They, however, did not reach Suku's parent's home. It was learnt that they drowned en masse in Karnali River.

Body of Rajani was recovered along the riverbank near Asaraghat in Achham district, according to police. Her body was found rotten and tied up with a rope, said police, adding that her body was sent to Achham District Hospital for the postmortem.

Bodies of Suki, Kalpana, Sarita and Lalit were found along the riverbanks at Panchadeval Municipality-4 in Achham district, on March 9.

It has been learnt that the last rites of four deceased had been already performed.

Deputy Mayor of Aathbis Municipality, Dipa Bohara, assumed that Suku along with her kids may have jumped into the river being disappointed by her husband, who used to torture and beat her almost every day after consuming alcohol.
