Due to the effect of western low pressure system, there is a possibility of partial to moderate change in the country today.
The effect of the system will continue till next Saturday, said Samir Shrestha, a meteorologist at the Department of Water and Meteorology. The Meteorological Department has requested all to take necessary precautions to avoid the effects of cold and snowfall as the weather system may affect the airspace, mountaineering, agriculture, transportation and other daily life.
Currently, there is partial to moderate change in most parts of the country. There is a possibility of light rain in the hilly parts of the country and snowfall in the high hilly areas on Thursday. The department has stated that the weather is gradually improving as the system has been weakening since Sunday. Today, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley is 5.8 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is 18.0 degrees Celsius. Today, the lowest Jumla has a minimum temperature of 0.5 degrees Celsius and the highest Dipayal has a maximum temperature of 23.5 degrees Celsius.
