Police arrested an elderly man on charge of raping an eight-year-old minor girl in Pokhara, Kaski district.
The accused has been identified as Sobhit Man Limbu (57) of Dhankuta district.
The accused lured and raped the minor by taking in his room-based at Squatters settlement in Pokhara Metropolitan City-32.
Acting on a tip-off, a team deployed from the Gagangauda-based Ward Police Office nabbed the accused from Khudi river on Thursday.
Further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
