The election expenses incurred by the candidates in the local level election have to be borne by the banking system. The commission has fixed the election expenses according to the local level.
According to the election code of conduct, candidates will have to open an account in a bank or financial institution for the expenses incurred in the election and will have to appoint a responsible official to spend. Political parties will also have to spend their election expenses through the bank account through the responsible officials specified by the party.
More than 50,000 financial assistance will have to be taken through banks and financial institutions. The election code of conduct states that parties and candidates must submit details of income and expenditure to the election office.
