Micro driver arrested on charge of bribing police in Sindhuli

Police in Sindhuli district arrested a man on charge of trying to bribe police from Khurkot in Sindhuli district on Thursday night.

The arrested has been identified as Ramesh Danuwar (29), a local resident of Triyuga Municipality in Udayapur district.

The vehicle with registration number BA 8 KHA 7162 was heading towards Kathmandu from Gaighat. Danuwar had tried to bribe Area Police Office security personnel deployed at Golanjar Rural Municipality check post in Khurkot during a routine check by offering Rs 500. Danuwar had allegedly kept the money inside the vehicle pass issued by District Administration Office, Udayapur.

Further investigation into the case is being conducted, said the police.
