Minister Ale's request to establish Nepal as adventure tourism hub

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale has urged all tourism entrepreneurs to establish Nepal as a hub of adventure tourism. Wishing good luck on the occasion of the 15th International Everest Day organized by Nepal Tourism Board at Nepal Pragya-Pratishthan Kamaladi today, he stressed on the need to make Nepal tourism safe and establish Nepal as a hub of adventure tourism. 

 Minister Ale said that the mountain culture of Nepal was facing a challenge as the global temperature was rising and the mountains of Nepal were also facing a crisis. "As global temperatures rise, our mountains are in crisis, adding to the challenges to mountain identity and culture," he said. Minister Ale also informed that meaningful cooperation among national and international stakeholders is needed for the enhancement of mountain sanitation.

 Stating that Mount Everest and other mountains are a symbol of pride and national honor of Nepal and Nepalese, he said, "It is important to get the cooperation and support of all stakeholders in preserving the culture of the Himalayan community while maintaining the freshness and cleanliness of the Himalayan environment." On the occasion, Minister Ale also informed that the entire ministry including himself is committed to formulate a concrete implementation plan by making policy reforms in the work of protection and promotion of the mountains.

Minister Ale also pledged to work for the elevation of the world's highest peak, Mount Everest. He said that he had informed Minister for Communications Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki to do so.

 Maheshwor Neupane, chairman of the main function committee and secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, highly praised the courage and contribution of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Edmund Hillary as they sucessfully climbed the world's highest peak, Mount Everest, in 1953. He also informed that the ministry and the department have always been positive for the solution of the problems of the Everest climbers.
