The Election Commission (EC) has informed that the final preparations have been completed for the local level elections to be held on Friday. At a press conference held this evening, Assistant Spokesperson of the Election Commission, Surya Prasad Aryal, informed that the Election Commission has made necessary arrangements to conduct the election in a free, fair, and fearless environment. He said that the Election Commission would track and monitor the polling stations as the internet and CCTV were already connected in most of the polling stations.

He said that monitoring would be done by recording videos in places where such technology could not be connected. He informed that arrangements have been made for the Election Officer to provide vehicle passes for people with disabilities, pregnant women, etc. to come and go to the polling booths for voting and not use such vehicles for other purposes. The Election Commission has also requested the private sector to give a holiday on the election day.

The Election Commission has stated that all internal traffic will be closed on election day. However, the use of emergency service vehicles for the election has not been banned. The Election Commission has requested the government to make necessary arrangements to protect all the polling stations and counting centers from the rain.

So far, 66 explanations, 9 warning letters, and one attention have been drawn for violating the election code of conduct.
The commission has sought 24-hour explanations from UCPN (M) Central Committee Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Nepali Congress central member Dr. Arju Rana Deuba, CPN-UML Deputy General Secretary Prithvi Subba Gurung, Tourism Minister Prem Ale, and Prachanda's personal secretary Ganga Dahal. Similarly, the attention towards Bipul Pokhrel, Central Chairman of the Federation of Nepali Journalists has been drawn.

Meanwhile, no permanent arrangement has been made for the staff to cast their votes as they have to be permanent residents of the constituency to become voters this time.
