Police in Sunsari district on Wednesday arrested three persons in possession of 3,480 tramadol capsules from Basantapur in Harinagar Rural Municipality-5.
The arrested have been identified as Parikshan Kunwar, a resident of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City, and Bijay Adhikari, and Nasim Ansari, both residents of the same municipality in Sunsari district.
They were travelling from Sunsari's Ghuski to Sankhuwasabha's Chainpur in a vehicle with registration number PRA 1-02-002 CHA 4727. Security personnel deployed from Basantapur-based Base Camp Police nabbed them during a routine vehicle check. The police also recovered the tramadol medicines from them.
They have been sent to Biratnagar-based Drug Administration Office for necessary punishment, informed District Police Office, Sunsari.
