Police in Dhanusha district on Sunday morning arrested a youth in possession of 15 tablets of Nitravet and 20gm of cannabis from Tinkoriya Bazar in Bideha Municipality-6.
The arrested has been identified as Mo Irrfan Shiekh, a 22-year-old Indian national.
Security personnel deployed from the Giddha-based Police Office nabbed him with the substances during a routine check.
Meanwhile, Tanahun police on Friday afternoon arrested two youths in possession of 94 ampules of Diazepam, 93 ampules of Nufin, and four sets of syringes from Benitar in Ambukhaireni Rural Municipality-4.
The arrested have been identified as Umesh Khatri (26), resident of Byas Municipality-12 in Tanahun district, and Purna Singh Gurung (26), resident of Arughat Municipality-1 in Gorkha district.
They were heading towards Ambukhaireni from Mungling on a motorcycle with vehicle registration number PRA 3-02-002 PA 6900. They were peddling the drugs in Aryal Medical Hall registered under Purna Singh Gurung in Nayabazar in the Gorkha district. Security personnel deployed from the Tanahun-based Ambukhaireni Area Police Office nabbed them with the substance during a routine vehicle check.
Further investigation into the matter is underway, informed the police.
