Newly elected members urged to stand firm in defense of democracy and constitution

The meeting of the five-party alliance of Gandaki Pradesh has urged the newly elected members of the National Assembly to stand firmly in favor of democracy and the constitution.

The review meeting of the coalition held on Thursday regarding the National Assembly election congratulated the candidates of the alliance Suresh Alemgar, Kamala Pant, and Bhuvan Bahadur Sunar on their victory in the National Assembly election and wished them a successful tenure.

The meeting further confirmed the need and justification of the alliance and concluded that the alliance should be continued for the defense of democracy, democracy, and the constitution, a statement issued after the meeting said. The meeting also decided to make it a matter of discipline by discussing the shortcomings observed during the election in their respective parties.

Thanking the leaders, activists, voters, and the general public for making their candidate victorious in the National Assembly elections, the meeting has expressed its heartfelt gratitude to all the bodies directly or indirectly involved in holding the election. Nepali Congress Gandaki Pradesh Working Committee Chairman Shukraraj Sharma, CPN (Maoist) Central Gandaki Pradesh Committee Chairman Gayatri Gurung, CPN (Unified Socialist) Politburo Member and Gandaki Pradesh Committee Secretary Prataplal Shrestha, Rashtriya Janamorcha Gandaki Pradesh Committee Chairman Shankar Baral and Janata Samajwadi Party Gandaki. Hem Bahadur Thapa, vice-chairman of the provincial committee has signed the agreement.
