Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to meet Leader of the Opposition, KP Sharma Oli, to end the stalemate in the federal parliament.
A meeting of the five-party coordination committee held at the PM's residence in Baluwatar on Friday discussed ending the stalemate in the parliament. The meeting has urged Prime Minister Deuba to meet UML Chairman Oli and take initiative to end the obstruction.
UCPN (Maoist) General Secretary Veduram Bhusal said, "Today, the Prime Minister will meet the Leader of the Opposition and urges him to end the blockade of Parliament." According to him, a meeting of the five-party coordination committee will be held after the Prime Minister meets Oli and will discuss how to run the parliament.
The meeting discussed the National Assembly election. The five-party alliance has registered its candidature by distributing seats for the election to be held on January 26.
Discussions have also been held to form coordination committees in districts targeting the election.
