Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has expressed confidence that the stalemate in the parliament will end soon on the basis of a political consensus. Addressing a program organized by Milijuli Matri Shishu Savings and Credit Cooperative at Balefi Rural Municipality-2 on Saturday, he said that the solution to the political problem would be sought from the re-instated parliament.
"I am the Speaker of the House today because of your vote. You have made me the head of one of the three organs of the State, hence I will not betray your faith and trust,” he said.
Central member of the CPN (Maoist Center) Madhav Sapkota, Chief District Officer Bedanidhi Khanal and the head of the district security agencies were present on the occasion. Various speakers at the program said that the cooperative run by women is exemplary in the district and wished for further progress.
Devaki Neupane, chairperson of the cooperative, presented the annual report at the program.
Also on Satuday, Speaker Sapkota laid the foundation stone of the Fulpingkot Health Post building at Fulpingkot in Balefi-3.
