Ireland is 46 runs behind Nepal's 269-run mark

Ireland has lost 2 wickets in 10 overs with 46 runs on the board while chasing the victory target of 269 runs set by Nepal.

The match is being held in Zimbabwe under the ongoing ICC One Day World Cup Qualifier 2023 for the 7th place playoff.

Earlier, after losing the toss and batting first at the Takashinga Sports Club in Harare, Nepal scored 268 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in the full quota of 50 overs.

For Nepal, Gulshan Jha contributed the highest 57 runs in 42 balls. Similarly, Nepal's opening batsman Arjun Saud scored 48 runs in 84 balls while Kushal Malla scored 44 runs off 38 balls.

Similarly, Sandeep Lamichhane scored 32 runs in 30 balls and captain Rohit Paudel added 29 runs and Bhim Sarki scored 20 runs.

Ireland's Mark Adair, Barry McCarthy and Craig Young took 2 wickets each, while Andy McBrine, Curtis Campher and Gareth Delany took 1 wicket each.

Ireland need 223 runs from 40 overs at the run rate of 5.57 runs per over to secure the seventh place.
