A postage stamp has been published in the name of late Angrita Sherpa, a successful mountaineer who climbed Mount Everest 10 times without the use of supplemental oxygen. He is also known as snow leopard.
The postal service department has launched postage stamps with the name of Sherpa along with personalities from various other fields.
Angrita climbed Mount Everest 10 times from 1983 to 1996. He is the first person to climb Mount Everest in winter without supplementary oxygen. He passed away in 2020 at the age of 72.
