Prohibitory order extended in Doti

The prohibitory order that had been imposed in Doti to curb the spread of the coronavirus has been extended till July 4. Chief District Officer, Sunil Khanal, informed that the prohibitory order had been extended during a meeting of the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre held today.

The administration has mentioned that during the extended prohibitory order shops selling food items and construction materials will be allowed to open from 7 am till 11 am. Banks and financial institutions will also be allowed to open from 10 am till 1 pm by following the necessary health safety protocols.

Vehicles used for developmental works or in the transportation of construction materials required for developmental works will be allowed to operate albeit by following health precautions. The administration has said that meetings, seminars, sporting events, among others where large crowds could gather are still prohibited.

Till date, 1,130 people in Doti have been infected with the COVID-19 and 11 have died due to the infection.
